As a group we decided to use final cut pro as our primary editing software as we have previously used it before. Our film was shoot in the dark, therefore using Final cut pro allows us to adjust and correct problems with colour and lighting, which ultimately gives a natural appearance. There is also many forums and help sites which can help advance us and solve situations we may experience. 

Some of the clips we recorded were too long,therefore we had to trim the clips. To do this I used the Blade tool, so I put all the clips on the timeline  put the skimmer to wherever I wanted it to cut the extra scenes out.  We used skills learnt from the preliminary task to do match on action successfully  in one of our scenes one of the characters opens the door and we had to cut to him out the door running, 

We replayed the shots continuously to guarantee that the editing was done correctly. 

We decided to create suspense by using non-diegetic sound as it can set the scene and the mood, through the dramatic effect it creates. 

The sound used was downloaded from soundsnap as they had thriller sounds that final cut pro didn't have to create the effect we wanted. We also used sounds from final cut pro as it was easier to insert into the editing tool incomparison to sounds which requires time and patient.
